La Roque Gageac can be visited by walking along the lanes, or going on the gabarres, those famous boats from the Dordogne, that were in the past used to carry and transport goods on the Dordogne.

Those gabarres were only used to go down the river with the goods, once they had arrived, they were taken to pieces to be sold as firewood !
